Name, Office and Objective
Section 1
This Association shall be known as the Funeral Association of The Bahamas (FAB), a Professional Association Organized and operated as a Nonprofit Organization Act, 2019 (No. 25 of 2019).
Section 2
The address of the principal office of this Association is New Providence, The Bahamas.
Section 3
The objective of this Association is but not limited to:
- The Association is dedicated to enhancing and safeguarding the standards of the profession;
- Fostering and ensuring collaboration between the profession and the public, as well as among its members;
- Disseminating sound principles of business management and merchandising;
- Championing the interests of funeral directors and embalmers in their professional activities;
- Identify and protect the public’s interests regarding the services provided by the funeral service profession;
- Enlighten and influence public opinion on the necessity of implementing fair, just, and consistent laws governing funeral directing and embalming in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas;
- Promote high ideals of public service among members;
- Nurture a more congenial social atmosphere among members.
